Youth Programs

Gallery 44 has long recognized education programming as vital to empowering youth and emerging artists. Since 1981, G44 has hosted an expanded and collaborative public education program serving diverse communities throughout the GTA. Through exhibitions, workshops, scholarships and mentorships, our education programs endeavour to eliminate existing barriers to the arts, while encouraging greater visual literacy, independence and growth.

Current and past education partners include: TDSB, SKETCH, 7th Generation Image Makers, Native Learning Centre, and Supporting Our Youth (SOY).

CameraReach is a Gallery 44 initiative in partnership with the Toronto District School Board (TDSB).

The Darkroom Club is a Gallery 44 initiative for youth ages 13 to 19.

PHOTOMAGIC 44 is a five-day photography camp for youth aged 13 -19. This innovative and intensive week-long camp will utilize the extensive production and darkroom facilities at Gallery 44.

OUTREACH is G44's award-winning education program designed specifically for youth from underserved communities.

CameraLinks, is our annual non-competitive, theme-based exhibition for Elementary and Secondary School students from the GTA and surrounding areas in Ontario.
